The role requires a strong understanding of accounting practices and procedures, as well as the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop financial models.

The role will report to the CFO and will provide significant C-level/board exposure, with huge opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management pack, ensuring integrity of numbers and providing insightful reporting with an operational focus.
  • Ownership of gross profit reporting and variance analysis, working with relevant managers to maximise company earnings.
  • Development of operational KPIs with functional heads of departments to monitor team performance and contribute to business growth.
  • Leadership of an established finance team, ensuring continuous improvement across finance processes and procedures.
  • Ownership of group audit and financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Contribution to strategic projects of the group.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant with 10+ years post-qualified experience (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a busy medium to large team, with demonstrable experience of developing a high-performing team.
  • Experience in the energy sector is a distinct advantage.
  • Inquisitive mind with ability to understand and solve complex business problems.
  • Track record of process improvement.
  • Comfortable presenting in front of executive management level.
