Financial Controller sought for rapidly expanding luxury hospitality company in Galway City, with a competitive salary up to €80,000 and global discounts across luxury brands.
Your new company is the latest addition to Galway City's thriving hospitality and tourism industry. As a Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in establishing a fit-for-purpose finance function, including instituting systems, cost controls, and cash management procedures. You will also be responsible for establishing a comprehensive month-end process, annual budgeting, and year-end group reporting structure.
Key responsibilities:
- Establish a finance function that supports the company's rapid growth and expansion plans
- Implement systems, cost controls, and cash management procedures
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive month-end process, annual budgeting, and year-end group reporting structure
- Act as the second-in-command to the General Manager, providing operational support and guidance
Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant with a professionally recognised qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
- Relevant industry experience in hospitality, FMCG, tourism, or other 'hands-on' industries
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous team management experience is preferred but not essential
