We are currently expanding our operations and are seeking a Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. This role is based at our manufacturing facility in Wexford Town.
The Financial Controller will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. This position will be a senior financial role within the Company.
The successful candidate will lead and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Finance Team and ensure the company's finance functions are efficient, operating to tight monthly deadlines and focusing on continuous improvement. Some knowledge or experience of manufacturing would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and banking.
- Prepare and update regular cash flow forecasts.
- Daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Manage Monthly Payroll process.
- Develop activity-based standard costing.
- Review costings to ensure the most cost-effective processes are in place.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Prepare Revenue returns for VAT and payroll tax and other statistical returns as required.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Manage and develop the finance team.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements and Skills
- Experience working at Financial Controller level.
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Proficient Excel skills.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and embrace change.
- People management experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience working with Xero and associated packages desirable.

Competitive salary: €45,000 to €50,000.
