Key responsibilities of the Financial Controller role
- Manage all aspects of financial control, reporting, and analysis for the site Profit & Loss & Balance Sheet.
- Participate in the management team to analyze and formulate solutions to strategic issues.
- Develop and implement costing systems and perform profitability analysis by customer and product code.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance with statutory, fiscal, and legal requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation of site capital expenditure proposals and ensure adequate controls exist to safeguard assets and liabilities.
Requirements for the Financial Controller position
- Professional accounting qualification and experience in financial controlling or a similar role.
- Proven record of manufacturing experience, commercial and operational challenges, and excellent systems and controls development experience.
- Strong team player, talented team leader, and good communication and people skills.
- Ability to function within a matrix organization, critical thinking, negotiation skills, and planning for overall profitability.
- Good business judgment, analytical thinking, self-motivation, and willingness to travel for functional meetings.
