Our client, a global manufacturing company that has operations worldwide, is looking for a Financial Controller to join one of their Irish sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for a small team and will have full control of the finance function of this site. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a global company, liaising with peers and contributing to the development of a best-in-class finance function. As a Financial Controller, your role will be integral to the smooth running of the finance function. You will be responsible for managing the preparation of monthly management accounts for the site. Your excellent organisational skills will enable you to meet tight reporting deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy. You will also be tasked with investigating and explaining variances to budget and forecast, ensuring transparency and accountability at all times. Your ability to develop strong relationships with various teams will facilitate effective business partnering processes. Responsibilities: Manage the preparation of monthly management accounts under tight reporting deadlines. Investigate and explain variances to budget and forecast. Develop strong relationships with financial systems, FP&A, commercial and credit teams. Prepare annual financial statements, including liaison with external auditors. Responsible for year-end audit. Maintain a strong accounting control environment via monthly balance sheet reconciliation process. Review month-end reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of differences. Ensure accuracy of inventory, assess for potential obsolescence and excess stock. Manage finance team and work closely with senior management to develop the business. Requirements: Qualified Accountant. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, advanced knowledge of Excel. Strong management and leadership skills. Exceptional communication skills with the proven ability to liaise and direct across multiple departments. Strong commercial awareness. Proved experience in working to tight reporting deadlines. Hands-on and can-do approach essential. Remuneration: A strong base salary & pension will be offered to the successful candidate.
