Job Description

Financial Operations Administrator role available for an experienced professional to process day-ahead and intraday trades in a dynamic financial trading environment.

This senior operational support role involves working as part of a multifunctional team, providing analysis support and resolving general queries in line with agreed timelines.

The successful candidate will work in a challenging, fast-moving, collaborative and team-oriented environment with a culture driven by performance, knowledge and continual development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing key daily checks to ensure market system processes operate smoothly and resolving issues within agreed parameters or escalating as necessary.
  • Engaging with internal and/or external stakeholders to address market operation queries and monitoring key market activities such as auctions and publication of reports.
  • Monitoring the market system, inputting data and validating outputs to ensure accuracy and engaging with customers where data is missing.
  • Raising incident tickets on the system and coordinating internal and external parties to resolve issues.
  • Performing user acceptance testing of system releases and reviewing and enhancing processes, procedures, and checklists to provide continuous improvement.
  • Performing analysis on market outcomes and producing reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Typically 3 years' experience in a data and/or critical operational role in financial services, funds financial trading or similar.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability, effective time management and strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate level Excel experience, ability to use multiple systems at the same time and learn various systems to monitor and troubleshoot process execution.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to work cross-functionally in a business environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment under time pressures with a flexible work approach.
  • Strong skills in MS Office products and file management systems.
