Job Description

Fexco Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) are currently recruiting for aFinancial Project Accountant to join their team. This role is a full-time, 12 month fixed-term contract for the purpose of maternity leave cover. This role will be based in our offices in Killorglin, Co. Kerry with flexibility to work a hybrid model. Job Purpose: The role will support business growth in Fexcos P&FX business unit. You will gain first-hand experience in the payments industry supporting the financial aspects of new business opportunities, business change and improvement, currency analysis and system development. You will support internal Finance initiatives aimed at maximising revenue and enhancing the capability of the financial teams to support growth. You will be responsible as part of a multi-disciplinary team to interpret and capture client needs and be confident in promoting the benefits of Fexco Payments and FX products and services. Representing all financial aspects of the Divisions products and services to both external and internal customers ensuring financial requirements are understood by all parties. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate with Sales and business development teams in winning and delivering new business. Develop a full and rounded view of all Payments & FX products and in particular the financial aspects of the products becoming a subject expert over time. Work closely with the Sales and Product teams to supporting their understanding and articulation of the financial aspects of Payment & FX products and services. Attending Client workshops and meeting alongside Sales and Product teams representing the financial aspects of the products. Manage and deliver multiple projects with conflicting requirements and deadlines. Work with key external and internal stakeholders to bring the best solutions for all parties understanding and managing the needs and expectations of the parties. Analyse FX risk associated with new business and regions and present findings and recommendations to management. Review tax, compliance (scheme and regulatory) and legal aspects of doing business across new regions or products, liaising with internal subject matter expects as required. Prepare comprehensive project material and handover documentation to the financial management and operations teams. Supporting the Finance Operations team and other cross functional teams in the Payments & FX Division. Qualifications and Key Competencies Required: Qualified Accountant with project management/delivery experience. Understanding the essentials of FX risk management and payment processing an advantage. Pro-active, delivery focused with a hands-on, can-do attitude. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and ability to work with both internal and external audiences. Motivated self-starter with desire for continuous learning and growth. Attention to detail a necessity with proficient in Microsoft Excel is required. Analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to demonstrate creative/independent thinking to resolve problems and complete projects. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to apply strategic thinking. Excellent understanding and knowledge of analytical tools and IT systems. Ability to work on own initiative and mange workload under demanding timelines, occasionally requiring work outside normal hours. Availability to travel internationally to support the Sales and Product teams in new business growth.
