Position: Finishing Foreman Location: Athlone, Ireland Contract: Full-time Sector: Educational Construction Project Salary: Competitive, based on experience Company Overview: We are a leading construction company with a strong portfolio of successful projects across Ireland. We are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Finishing Foreman to join our team for a large-scale educational project in Athlone. Role Overview: The Finishing Foreman will be responsible for overseeing all finishing stages of the project, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and delivery timelines. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented leader with the ability to manage multiple trades and ensure the project is completed to specification. Key Responsibilities: Supervise all finishing works including painting, flooring, fixtures, joinery, and other final touches. Coordinate and manage subcontractors and tradespeople to ensure deadlines are met. Inspect and ensure quality control of all finishes, resolving issues promptly. Monitor progress against project schedules, ensuring works are delivered on time. Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment. Collaborate with site management and project teams to ensure smooth handover of completed areas. Report on project progress and highlight any risks or delays to the site manager. Liaise with clients, architects, and project managers to ensure all specifications are followed. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Finishing Foreman, ideally on educational or commercial projects. Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and finishing techniques. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications. Exceptional organizational and communication skills. Proven track record of delivering high-quality finishes to tight deadlines. Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors. Full knowledge of health and safety requirements and regulations. Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field (preferred but not essential).
