Seeking a Finishing Foreman to oversee finishing activities on a construction site in the midlands, working with a highly skilled team and leading the way in modern construction methods.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all finishing activities on the construction site.
  • Manage subcontractors and coordinate with other trades.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Inspect work for compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Identify and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Ensure all work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Work closely with the project manager and other members of the construction team.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finishing team.
  • Monitor progress and performance of finishing activities.
  • Ensure all finishing work meets client expectations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to the project manager.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and competence in all aspects of setting out, surveying, and temporary works.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills with good knowledge of MS office & CAD.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within Irish construction sites.
  • Full Irish Driving licence.
  • Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman or similar role.
  • Strong background in construction, with a focus on finishing work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
