This job listing is for a Foreman position with a Tier 1 Main Contractor in Kilkenny, Ireland, working on a large-scale educational project. The role involves overseeing various aspects of construction, including scheduling, quality control, and safety management. The candidate will manage the worksite, ensuring compliance with regulations and efficient allocation of resources. Key Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to project timelines and meet all deadlines. Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with building codes and standards. Manage labor, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity. Maintain accurate daily records of site operations, including progress reports and incident logs. Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety briefings and inspections. Oversee the snag list and manage closeout with relevant subcontractors. Take control of the project from the plastering/skimming stage through 2nd & 3rd fix, snagging, and final handover. Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role with a Main Contractor, ideally on large-scale projects, with a preference for experience in educational facilities. Strong understanding of construction processes, quality control, and health and safety standards. Excellent communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
