Job Description

Located in the beautiful location of St. Stephen's Green in Dublin 2, for almost 200 years, it has been the beating heart of hospitality, unforgettable experiences and luxury within the capital. POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for assessing the risk in hotel work environment to minimizing associates illness and injury during work hour. Inspecting hazardous factor in the work environment, quality of equipment or facility that used by associates. Lead the organization toward a healthy and safe work environment by advising, monitoring, and reporting in the workplace, and engaging staff in programs that ensure safe practices in the workplace. Duties Include Monitoring and managing potential fire hazards and risks within the workplace. Understanding fire safety regulations. Knowing how to operate fire safety equipment. Acting swiftly and appropriately in case of a fire. Assisting in implementing and improving effective emergency procedures. Managing the evacuation of all persons to a safer place. Fire Warden Building Sweep Fire wardens sweep a building in the direction of travel of escape routes and final fire exits. Wardens and marshals sweep their areas first then visually sweep any adjacent rooms, cupboards, stores or toilets on route to the direction of travel to escape routes and final fire exits. Record Keeping The fire warden is responsible for keeping comprehensive and accurate records of all fire safety measures, risk assessments and fire drills. These records are important because they show that the company meets its legal fire safety obligations. They can also help identify patterns or recurrent issues requiring attention. Record keeping should include dates, findings, actions taken, people involved, and follow-up activities. Reporting A key duty of the fire warden involves promptly reporting any identified fire risks or issues to management or the relevant authority within the organization. This could include faulty equipment, blocked fire exits, improper storage of flammable materials, or breaches of fire safety regulations. Timely reporting allows issues to be addressed quickly, helping maintain a safe working environment. Other duties Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs. Follow all company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Ensure quality assurance expectations and standards. Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
