Job Description
A high-performing Duty Manager is required to lead the team at Airtastic Cork, a dynamic leisure and entertainment venue with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, drive sales, and manage business costs, while maintaining a safe and harmonious working environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, including bowling, arcade, NY kitchen, and Mini golf
- Deliver exceptional customer service and inspire team members to achieve the same standards
- Develop, train, and coach a reliable team, delegating direct responsibility and promoting competence
- Manage individual and team performance, setting clear expectations and promoting continuous improvement
- Support the management team in managing overheads, stock, team schedules, labour control, and other elements affecting business profitability
- Maximise sales revenue, challenge the team to achieve business targets, and promote a culture of excellence
- Ensure cash handling, card transactions, banking, and sales reporting are accurate and up-to-date
- Maintain the upkeep and condition of equipment and premises, ensuring prompt remedial action when required
- Ensure the correct and continual use of company procedures, systems, and documents
- Plan and implement localised marketing and promotional initiatives
Essential Criteria:
- Significant management experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused sector
- Evidence of people management, training, development, and on-the-job coaching
- Accountability for business targets and KPIs
- Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills
- Approachable and enthusiastic manner, with a can-do attitude
- Computer literacy and knowledge of cash handling environments
- Ability to make decisions using own initiative
- Previous experience of working with high standards in customer service, quality, hygiene, and health and safety
Desirable Criteria:
- Full Driving License
- Trained in First Aid
Additional Information:
Full training will be provided for the role. The successful applicant will normally be required to work a number of varied shifts, including evenings and weekends. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.
