**Food and Beverage Inspector** A dynamic individual is sought to conduct food safety and brand standard audits across Ireland, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and Applegreen brand standards. Established in 1992, Applegreen is a leading convenience roadside retailer with over €3 BN in annual revenue, operating 600 Motorway Service Plazas and forecourt sites internationally, and employing over 16,000 people. The company is in a rapid growth phase, and this role will play a key part in supporting this expansion. **Key Responsibilities:** • Conduct food safety and brand standard audits for own brand food and beverage offers across Ireland • Plan and manage the audit schedule to ensure timely completion and reporting • Keep up to date with legislation and food safety regulations • Report any failed audits or concerns to the Technical Food Manager • Collaborate with the Food Team to ensure seamless integration and effective communication **Requirements:** • Third Level qualification in a food-related discipline (e.g. Food Science, Environmental Health or Agricultural Science) • Qualified to QQI level 5 in Food Safety Management (advantageous) • Qualified to QQI level 6 in Food Auditing (advantageous) • 2 years plus auditing experience within the food industry (advantageous) • High proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, PPT) • Full driving license **Essential Skills and Attributes:** • Dynamic individual with a passion for food and coffee • Strong knowledge of food safety requirements for the catering and retail sector • Excellent drive, enthusiasm, and commitment • Can-do attitude and positive solution-focused mindset • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to engage and develop relationships with individuals at all levels • Self-starter with ability to work collaboratively as a member of a highly interdependent team • Resilient and calm under pressure • Sound judgement and objective logical decision-making skills
