We currently have an opportunity for a Food Leadership Manager to join our Food Leadership Team.As a member of the Food Leadership Team, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of an effective business strategy that increases shareholder value aligned with the Musgrave strategy and in keeping with the long-term vision and values of the company. You will work with the Head of Food Leadership to develop a Food First Culture across the business. You will monitor current market dynamics, competitor activity and emerging trends to inform our strategy, delivering a world class food and beverage business now & into 2030. You will ensure that our food and beverage development plans are aligned to the needs of our consumers, most evident through our mission-based approach, and maximise the potential of our food-based categories from now to 2030. You will be responsible for ensuring that the plans we develop will win today and are agile and robust enough to win into the future. You will champion new concepts that are based on data and consumer insight, drive consumer satisfaction, and drive profitable sales for Musgrave and our partners. You will work cross functionally to ensure that we deliver end-to end, from concept, creation & on the shelf. You will engage with our retail partners and work collaboratively to build strong working relations. The successful candidate will lead a step change in how and what we do from a food perspective, shaping the strategy, defining the roadmap, securing enablers for success and measuring outcomes. The foundations of this change will be based on authentic cultural transformation. Responsibilities include: Developing our strategy to drive a food first culture across SuperValu that sets us apart from our competitors Using data and insights to shape & deliver innovation and consumer centric concepts to market Working with the Head of Food Leadership to ensure that the cross functional team are working in a cohesive manner and at the correct pace to drive a significant step change in our food leadership agenda Managing the Food Leadership Budgets, ensuring timely processing of payments in line with business best practice Development of the annual Commercial Plan, sign off and roll out across food leadership Providing updates on the food agenda to our Management Team, Exec Team and Board as required Be a key point of contact and link to all workstream leads Lead interaction with our Retailers Work closely with the Retail management and Retail Trading Team, as well as other stakeholders who can support overall strategy delivery With the support of our Finance team, you will establish and track appropriate KPI`s across the business and report progress against goals and targets ?????? The successful candidate will have/be: Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills and experience of leading a diverse cross-functional team to successfully deliver on a clearly articulated vision Strategic thinking & translation of strategy into a deliverable plan that drives sales, margin and improves consumer satisfaction Have a proven track record of successful delivery of complex commercial projects Strong commercial acumen and experience of translating consumer insight into innovative and differentiating market leading shopper propositions Experience in transformation programs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Will possess proven analytical skills and excellent planning and organization skills Must have at least 5 years experience in a senior role in a retail / FMCG environment with a track record of developing and delivering a commercial strategy and strong results Strong understanding of the Irish food retail market, including customer behaviour, industry trends, and the competitive landscape Ideally have had exposure to the Commercial Planning process Will have a proven record of working well with key stakeholders across a business, up to and including Executive level Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
