Job Description

#IJ Forensic Planner An exciting opportunity for an experienced Planner, Engineer, or Surveyor to work on construction and engineering delay claims and disputes. The position would suit those with planning and scheduling experience who may have a passion or desire to work in and/or specialise in claims and dispute resolution work and gain more frequent exposure to forensic planning and delay analysis. Experience in project scheduling will be a perquisite. Full training in delay analysis will be given in order to develop your skills in this specialist area. Job Duties will Include: Analysis of the contractual approach to Extension of Time Claims on a a wide array of Construction Contracts. Forensic analysis of project schedules and project delays. Prospective and retrospective delay analysis and the presentation of information in both programmes and reports. Preparation of programmes and documentation for Extension of Time Claim Submissions and/or Expert Reports . Skills and Experience: At least 5 years' experience in project planning/scheduling to have the necessary skills to carry out this role. Ideally a minimum of several years in a planning role would be desired. Must have experience of using at least one (ideally a combination) of the following planning software's on a regular basis (Primavera P6, Asta Power project or Microsoft Project). Strong written skills are imperative to succeed in this role and candidates will ideally be able to demonstrate a high level of ability in this area. Strong client facing and presentation skills are also essential. Adaptable and hungry to continue learning. For example, learning new varieties of contract, analysis techniques and claims and dispute related trends. A high level of knowledge of construction techniques. Qualifications/Educational Requirements Degree level education in a construction related field or similar equivalent qualification is desired.
