Formulation Scientist role: Develop and optimize pharmaceutical formulations, conduct laboratory activities, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out formulation development of different dosage forms, including preformulation studies, laboratory scale studies, and optimization experiments.
- Handle equipment employed in the formulation development lab, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
- Execute laboratory activities in line with Pharmaceutical GLP/GMP and/or internal guidelines.
- Perform testing on engineering and validation batches manufactured as part of new product introductions or process optimizations.
- Investigate issues with existing products or manufacturing processes, with the intent to resolve or improve product quality.
- Generate and update technical documents based on evaluation of the formulation and manufacturing process.
- Conduct patent literature surveys and database searches.
- Document all work as required by cGMPs on a timely basis.
- Write up trial batch records as required.
- Prepare standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Technology.
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in a pharmaceutical research and manufacturing environment.
- Experience with solid state characterization for oral dosage forms (SEM, Powder Rheometer, Particle Size Analyzer, Flowability Tester, etc.).
- Basic analytical skills (UV & HPLC).
- Competent in wet granulation, fluid bed dryers, extrusion-spheroidization, and/or fluid bed (Wurster) coating processes and scale-up of these processes.
- Competent in formulation development techniques and interpretation of results.
- Experience with transfer of scale-up process into production.
