Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Freight Forwarding Branch Manager to oversee the operations, sales, and service functions of our branch. The ideal candidate will lead the team in delivering exceptional customer service, managing daily operations, and driving business growth through strategic sales initiatives. You will also ensure the smooth execution of freight forwarding operations while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and ensure the Operations and Sales teams perform their duties effectively, as outlined in their job descriptions, and provide necessary guidance and support.
  2. Oversee daily freight forwarding operations, including shipments, documentation, and logistics, ensuring all operational requirements are met efficiently and in compliance with industry regulations.
  3. Handle customer service inquiries, resolve issues, and escalate matters when necessary to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  4. Drive business growth by managing sales activities, conducting sales calls, and identifying new business opportunities with existing and potential customers.
  5. Prepare accurate quotations for freight forwarding services and assist with the preparation of tenders, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing.
  6. Build strong relationships with overseas agents and vendors, sourcing competitive rates and exploring additional service and sales opportunities.
  7. Organize and manage project cargo shipments and complex logistics solutions, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  8. Provide training and support to operations staff on new procedures, systems, or products, helping them integrate new business and customer requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Strong leadership and management experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
  2. Proven track record in sales and business development within the freight industry.
  3. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  4. Knowledge of industry regulations, shipping documentation, and compliance.
  5. Ability to multitask and manage complex logistics projects.
