6-12 Month Contract Galway Based - Hybrid working Flexible rate - Dependent on experience level We are seeking a passionate Front End Developer to help our client deliver exceptional customer experiences for our retail customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in web development and modern testing practices using open-source technologies. The Expertise We’re Looking For: 8+ years of professional experience in designing and developing web applications using frameworks like Angular, Vue.js, React, Typescript, and Node.js. A strong mindset for test-first development with experience in modern testing frameworks, as we believe quality is everyone’s responsibility. A passion for staying on top of the latest trends in technology and sharing knowledge within the team. Self-starter mentality, someone who challenges the status quo, is curious, and asks "Why" and "What if?" Experience with CI/CD practices, including rapid deployment strategies like A/B testing, blue-green deployments, and feature toggles to minimize risk. Excellent communication skills. Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, Vue.js, React, Node.js, CSS, HTML, and browser developer tools. Experience in defining test strategies and setting up test automation frameworks for web applications using tools like Cypress or Puppeteer. Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities. Familiarity with unit testing, mocking frameworks, and testing strategies across the development lifecycle. Knowledge of end-to-end DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines with automated testing. Strong understanding of microservices architecture and database design fundamentals. Knowledge of HTTP and REST APIs. Experience with Linux, shell scripting, Docker, and cloud platforms like AWS (certification is a plus). Certifications in, or experience with, AWS/Azure are a plus.
