The Front of House Manager is an important position working closely with the Senior Management Team.

About Us

The Fleet Hotel is a wonderful boutique style Hotel located in the centre of Dublin on the edge of Temple Bar. It comprises of some beautiful period buildings including the iconic Bewleys Cafe, much loved by Dubliner's for decades. The Fleet Hotel is synonymous with local Dublin history, before becoming the Fleet Hotel, 19/20 Fleet Street was home to Bewley's Cafe which was established by Ernest Bewley in 1905. Bewleys were known to be one of the finest Tea Houses in Europe and a favourite with Dubliner's for generations.

Position Title: Front of House Manager

Reports To: General Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Front Office Manager oversees the daily operations of the front desk and reception area, ensuring the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. This role is responsible for managing front desk staff, coordinating guest services, and handling administrative duties to support the overall operation of the hotel or hospitality establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Services:
  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival and departure.
  • Ensure an efficient and courteous check-in and check-out process.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns promptly.
  • Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise front desk staff.
  • Schedule shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Oversee reservations and room assignments.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and financial transactions.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, and monitor expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for front desk operations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of office supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Analyze data to improve guest services and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management position.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using hotel management software and other office applications.
  • Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years' experience as a Front Office Assistant Manager/Manager in a 4* hotel setting
