Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and friendly full-time hotel Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and hospitable environment.
Responsibilities:
- Display, at all times, a friendly, courteous and professional manner in all interactions with guests, patrons and other employees.
- Attend or read the handover briefing at the beginning of your shift to ensure that you are aware of any special requirements for the day.
- Greeting guests as they arrive and checking them into their rooms.
- Handling guest inquiries and providing information about hotel amenities and services.
- Managing phone calls and email correspondence.
- Ability to quote and be familiar with room and rate availability for current and future dates.
- Ability to accept reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of reservations staff.
- Handling guest complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Managing room reservations and ensuring accuracy of guest information in the hotel's booking system.
- Maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
- Collaborating with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform tasks and projects as delegated by the manager on duty.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and hotel booking software.
- Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
