Job Description


As a Trading Front Office Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing trades, analysing market trends, and ensuring seamless communication between our trading desk and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing Energy Contracts: handle the procurement of energy contracts and related financial instruments to manage wholesale energy costs.
  • Trading in the Prompt Electricity Market (ISEM): trade electricity to meet customer demand in the ISEM.
  • Purchasing Gas: purchasing gas and ensure gas supplies are sufficient to meet customer needs.
  • Analysis and Reporting: provide analysis to support trading and strategic decisions, and report on all trading-related activities.
  • Provide insights into the energy markets to support the trading strategy.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with trading activities across all portfolios.

Requirements:

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification or equivalent.
  • 3+ years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Energy Markets.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills.
  • A pro-active, enthusiastic, and commercially focused individual.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel/Word/Power Point.
  • Attention to detail with ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and engage with stakeholders.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and provide support and guidance to other team members.
