We work closely with the actuarial teams in both the UK and across Europe, and often on multi-service line engagements with our Business Consulting colleagues.We are currently looking to recruit a non-life actuarial senior manager to join our team.Your Key ResponsibilitiesActuarial Senior managers are involved in the successful delivery and management of actuarial and multidisciplinary projects, including both the relationship with clients and the performance of the internal EY team.The successful candidate will be expected to drive the production of client deliverables, with an emphasis on quality and teaming. They will assist with the management and development of more junior colleagues.They will have a number of areas of technical excellence, participating in the research and development required to support the growth of these fields of expertise.They must be confident and credible in taking the lead in client interactions and in building market profile.They will work across a broad range of projects both as part of the assurance and business consulting practices.To qualify for the role you must havePrevious experience in managing teams and delivering projects.Demonstrated ability in problem solving and managing multiple tasks.Excellent communication skills, both in written and oral format.Focus on deadlines, discipline and process, yet flexible and pragmatic.Professional attitude and demeanor.Confident dealing with clients.Technical Skills:Qualified Actuary, with a minimum of 8 years PQE and over 10 years of total experience in non-life insurance/reinsurance or non-life consultancy, preferably with IFRS 17 or related experience.Excellent technical and analytical skills.Non-life actuarial software experience (e.g. RESQ, WinRes, Arius).Awareness of and interest in the challenges facing the non-life insurance industry.Ideally, you’ll also havePrevious experience in at least two of the following areas:IFRS 17Solvency IICapital and Risk ManagementWhat working at EY offersWe offer a competitive remuneration package.
