By joining the Technology Consulting team, you will work in high-performing teams that deliver exceptional client service, enabling organisations to grow, innovate, protect, and optimise their business performance – playing your part in building a better working world.Your key responsibilitiesCollaborate with IT and business teams to understand business and technical requirements in order to identify, prioritise and document data requirements for risk, finance or/and regulatory change.Conduct thorough analysis of existing data processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and integration with new or improved risk, finance or regulatory solutions.Analyse and conduct gap analysis in existing data architectures to identify impact areas and design solution options.Develop and implement data solutions to support the implementation of risk, finance or/and regulatory technology and reporting changes.Monitor data quality and integrity throughout the transformation process, implementing controls and fixes as needed and maintaining compliance with the organisation’s Data Governance and Data Management policies and procedures.Implement Data Lineage process improvements and maintain documentation to trace data from source to report. Conduct data lineage gap analysis and provide insights on existing systems, technology and recommended improvements.Source, clean, and integrate data from various source systems, and conduct analysis to deliver insights informing and influencing the risk, finance or/and regulatory solutions.Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical and data teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of data requirements and objectives.Support the design and implementation of risk, finance and/or regulatory solutions with data expertise, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with internal and external policies, procedures and regulations.Conduct research and coordinate insights sessions in the selection and implementation of new data technologies, tools and systems for Finance and Risk Domains.Provide training and documentation to end-users to ensure successful use and adoption of available data and reporting assets.To qualify for the role, you must have:Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, Engineering, or equivalent professional education.Minimum of 4 years of experience with a blue-chip consulting firm as a Data Engineering or Technical Data Management Consultant with a focus on finance, risk and regulatory projects.Experience working with Financial Services clients (Banking, Insurance or Wealth and Asset Management).Familiarity with Finance, Risk or/and Regulatory Reporting domains in Financial Services industry.Relevant work experience in client-facing technical data management or data engineering roles.Experience working with relevant data tools and languages relevant to your specialism (e.g. Teradata, Oracle, IBM Bd2 etc, PowerBI, QlikView/Sense, Tableau, ETL tools like Informatica or Talend, Collibra, Alteryx, AWS, Azure, Python, R). Advanced Excel and SQL expertise are a must.Experience working with or provisioning data for ERP platforms like SAS, SAP, Oracle, or financial and regulatory reporting engines.Knowledge of typical data management and governance frameworks and compliance requirements, e.g. BCBS239 in banking.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to craft clear and professional PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate complex data and insights.Team centric mindset, always ready to support their colleagues and not afraid to ask for help when needed.Understanding and respect for client and team deadlines, great organisation skills and ability to organise and prioritise own work to achieve the delivery objectives.Relevant Data Engineering or Data Management certifications and experience with Agile methodologies are a plus.Ideally, you’ll also have:Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty.Growth and continuous learning mindset.Be able to conduct workshops and stakeholder interviews.Ability to build and manage relationships across business and technology stakeholders.Financial Services industry background or experience as a bonus.Management of MI/BI reports or preparation and delivery of regulatory reports as a bonus.What working at EY offersWe offer a competitive remuneration package.
