Job Overview EY's FS Technology Consulting team is expanding its expertise in AI and Data. We're seeking a Senior Consultant in Enterprise Data Management to lead data-enabled transformation projects in Financial Services.

As a Senior Consultant, you will work with high-performing teams to deliver exceptional client service, enabling organizations to grow, innovate, protect, and optimize their business performance. You will collaborate with IT and business teams to understand business and technical requirements, analyze existing data processes and systems, and design solution options.

• Analyze existing data processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and integration with new or improved risk, finance, or regulatory solutions.
• Design solution options to meet business and technical requirements.
• Develop and implement data solutions to support the implementation of risk, finance, or regulatory technology and reporting changes.
• Monitor data quality and integrity throughout the transformation process, implementing controls and fixes as needed and maintaining compliance with the organization's Data Governance and Data Management policies and procedures.
• Implement Data Lineage process improvements and maintain documentation to trace data from source to report.
• Conduct data lineage gap analysis and provide insights on existing systems, technology, and recommended improvements.
• Source, clean, and integrate data from various source systems, and conduct analysis to deliver insights informing and influencing the risk, finance, or regulatory solutions.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical, and data teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of data requirements and objectives.
• Support the design and implementation of risk, finance, and regulatory solutions with data expertise, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, Engineering, or equivalent professional education.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with a blue-chip consulting firm as a Data Engineering or Technical Data Management Consultant with a focus on finance, risk, and regulatory projects.
• Experience working with Financial Services clients (Banking, Insurance, or Wealth and Asset Management).
• Familiarity with Finance, Risk, or Regulatory Reporting domains in Financial Services industry.
• Relevant work experience in client-facing technical data management or data engineering roles.
• Experience working with relevant data tools and languages relevant to your specialism (e.g. Teradata, Oracle, IBM Bd2, Power BI, Qlik View/Sense, Tableau, ETL tools like Informatica or Talend, Collibra, Alteryx, AWS, Azure, Python, R).
• Advanced Excel and SQL expertise are a must.
• Experience working with or provisioning data for ERP platforms like SAS, SAP, Oracle, or financial and regulatory reporting engines.
• Knowledge of typical data management and governance frameworks and compliance requirements, e.g. BCBS239 in banking.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to craft clear and professional PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate complex data and insights.
• Team-centric mindset, always ready to support colleagues and not afraid to ask for help when needed.
• Understanding and respect for client and team deadlines, great organizational skills, and ability to organize and prioritize own work to achieve delivery objectives.
• Relevant Data Engineering or Data Management certifications and experience with Agile methodologies are a plus.
