Financial Services Consulting - Business Analyst – Banking / Credit – Senior Consultant
Join EY FS Ireland's Technology Consulting team as a Senior Consultant and work with top financial services clients to deliver complex projects and drive business growth.
As a Senior Consultant, you will work with clients to develop and prioritize change requirements, design and implement technology solutions, and drive business outcomes.
About the Role
- Work with clients to develop and prioritize change requirements (epics and user stories) and document same
- Develop supporting design documentation, including process maps, decision papers, and customer journey artefacts
- Act as an intermediary between business and technology stakeholders to ensure project outcomes align with technology/business strategy
- Help identify problems, opportunities, and ideate methods for improving existing business processes and workflows
- Work with Product Owners and scrum team members to drive requirements through the full delivery lifecycle
- Prepare, review, and analyze testing/test phase outputs
- Resolve moderate to high complexity issues during the functional and/or technical design process
- Manage and develop relationships with key stakeholders across business, technology, and other areas
- Become a subject matter resource in the technology and domain you work in/on
- Support other project deliverables, including training, non-functional testing, and data mapping
- Stay abreast of latest banking/credit industry trends to drive innovation in the company
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
Requirements
- Knowledge and working experience in one or more of the following financial domain areas and products: Core Banking, Retail and Commercial Lending, Personal Lending, Treasury, Wealth & Asset Management, Capital Markets, Financial Crime & AML, Cards
- Working experience in one or more of the following tools: Jira, Confluence, MS Office, Visio, SQL, XML, MS Visual Studio
- At least 5 years of experience in a blue-chip consulting firm, industry, or government organization
- Strong track record in consulting or Business Analysis with Banking Platform implementation experience
- Experience conducting analysis, requirement, and design workshops
- Experience operating in a fast-paced, multi-vendor environment
- Strong stakeholder management experience, working collaboratively with Development and Testing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Agile methodologies, including the creation of User Stories and working closely with a Product Owner
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
- Experience with functional and technical design
- Strong academic record, including a third-level degree, preferably in an IT-related area
- Agile certification (CSPO) and/or BA certifications, e.g., IIBA
