UCD School of Chemistry seeks a Full Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology to contribute to its research and innovation efforts.
Summary: A permanent Full Professor position is available at UCD School of Chemistry to lead research in medicinal chemistry and chemical biology.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Lead a research group in medicinal chemistry and chemical biology
- Contribute to the School's research and teaching activities
- Develop and maintain strong research collaborations with other academic staff and external partners
- Mentor and supervise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
- Participate in the development and implementation of the School's research strategy
The School is located in the recently refurbished Science South, part of a transformative multimillion euro investment providing excellent accommodation and facilities for science students and staff.
Research in the School falls broadly within UCD's strategic themes and offers opportunities to engage with UCD One Health scientists, engineers, and veterinary and medical clinicians.
The salary for this position is €138,681 - €175,326 per annum, and appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
