This position could suit someone living in Galway , Mayo or Roscommon. tSummary We are now accepting cv applications for the role of General Manager. We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have proven management experience and a background or interest in Agriculture. The business has grown through digital transformation in recent years so previous work experience in a software type business would be an advantage. The General Manager is entrusted with a pivotal leadership role, encompassing comprehensive oversight of all facets of the company's operations. With a primary focus on ensuring efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth, this position demands a strategic thinker with robust managerial capabilities to drive business objectives and foster a positive organisational culture. You will form a part of the senior management team & play an important part in the strategic development of the company. Duties & responsibilities Strategic planning - Develop comprehensive strategic plans aligned with company goals and objectives. Operations Management - Continuously evaluate and refine processes and work-flows to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. Financial Management - Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives to ensure fiscal health and sustainability. Staff Management and Development - Manage recruitment efforts to attract top talent and provide comprehensive training and mentor ship to nurture a high-performing team. Customer Relationship Management - Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner to ensure optimal service delivery. Business Management and Development - Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to drive revenue growth and market expansion. Risk Management - Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the business. Health & Safety Management - Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement. Performance Monitoring and Reporting - Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor progress towards organisational goals and objectives. Skills required. Communication skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels. Technology Proficiency - Proficiency with relevant software and technology platforms (Odoo), including customer relationship management (CRM) software, and data analytics tools. Team Player - Collaborative and growth mindset with the ability to motivate and work effectively with colleagues at all levels. Candidate profile Bachelor's degree or higher in business management, business administration, finance, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications or qualifications in areas such as strategic management, finance, or leadership. Minimum of 3 year's experience gained within the last 5 years as General Manager in an Agri-food company or in a similar industry or sector, with a deep understanding of industry trends, challenges, and best practices.
