Job Description

General Manager (Irish entity) What you will be doing Reporting to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, as General Manager of Ramp Network’s Irish subsidiary, you will be the executive representative on the Board of Directors of Ramp Swaps (Ireland) Limited and accountable for managing the day-to-day operations of our business in Ireland. You will be responsible for ensuring the overall success and profitability of the organisation in the EEA. You will work closely with the other Board members to deliver the Irish and EEA strategy, ensuring it aligns to the overall Group strategy. Ramp Ireland is registered and supervised by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) as a VASP for AML and CFT purposes only. You will also be responsible to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations, working closely with the CBI and the wider Ramp group. What you will be working on Hold and maintain PCF-1 and PCF-8 pre-approved control function designations (having previously held a PCF designation is highly desired). Sit on the Board of the Irish entity as the executive director (PCF-1). Create and present at board meetings on a quarterly basis. Lead and manage application for authorisation under Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) with the CBI. Serve as the primary point of contact with the CBI for any queries about our business. Oversee all aspects of the Irish entity’s daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor performance of intercompany service providers to ensure adherence to expected SLAs. Collecting, measuring and reporting on all risks to the Irish business. Ensuring the establishment of appropriate risk controls systems. Monitor market trends and competition to identify opportunities and threats. In close coordination with the Head of Risk and Compliance, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and regulatory registration requirements. Stay informed about industry-specific regulations and make necessary adjustments to operations. Review, sign off on and submit all required reports and returns. Promoting and leading the company’s culture, values and behaviours. Our toolkit Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, Click Up, NetSuite, ApprovalMax, Google sheets and Excel. What you will bring A well-rounded approach, you’re comfortable and thrive when independently and not afraid to “roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. Previous experience in a regulated fintech or banking - and you’re excited by crypto and the future of Web3 Finance in crypto companies is evolving and you will bring a knack for finding solutions driven by the decentralised nature of crypto. Up to date knowledge of recent regulatory requirements impacting Ramp Ireland and the wider Ramp group. You’ll be a master problem solver and you favour a fast paced and ever changing environment full of ambiguity. You possess exceptional leadership qualities and excellent communication skills. Previous experience working directly with or on the Board of Directors for a subsidiary. Extra points for Direct experience in a company that has built Crypto/Web3 products.
