Job Description

Travelodge PLUS Dublin City is seeking a General Manager.

Our flagship Travelodge PLUS hotel is located on Townsend Street, Dublin 2.

This 393-bedroom hotel opened in 2022 and includes 150 superior product rooms (Super Room).


The Mossco brand for our Food and Beverage was inspired by its local connection to Moss Street in Dublin 2 'Moss'.


The Co encompassing the range of offering available in our beautifully designed spaces a full-service Bar, Kitchen & outdoor terrace.


The Candidate At least 3 years experience at Deputy General Manager with both rooms and food and beverage experience Degree/diploma in hotel management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides knowledge, skills, and ability sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the position.


Excellent leadership and motivation capability Proven track record in creating a culture of service excellence Experience in City Centre properties would be advantageous Main responsibilities To work in conjunction with Travelodge / Tifco Hotel Group to develop a strategic business plan for the hotel.

Lead, direct, and manage all property operations.


Ensure a Senior Management presence on property In conjunction with the Group Revenue, Sales, Finance and COO, create the hotel annual operating budget and capex plan In the conjunction with Tifco COO prepare plans and strategies to ensure the maximization of property performance.


This person must create an exceptional climate of professional and personable service that creates memories by anticipating needs and exceeding expectations of our guests.


Monitor actual sales, revenues, payroll and expenses to determine variance and assess goal accomplishments, and adjust strategies and forecasts accordingly Monitor competitive set activities and adjust execution as needed.

To ensure financial results are achieved and where sales are difficult to achieve to ensure all costs are controlled.

Ensure all policies, procedures and statutory requirements are adhere to.

Direct and motivate the team ensuring optimal performance while promoting a positive work culture Maintain the hotels leading position across all customer feedback platforms In conjunction with the Hotel Chef and Food & Beverage Manager create interesting and innovative food & beverage experiences
