General Manager The General Manager is responsible for the overall running of the Bar, Restaurant & Cafe and will report directly to the operations manager(s). This role will assume responsibility for leading the team, ensuring smooth operations, and upholding high standards of customer service. Sales & Labour Identify additional sales opportunities to create better revenues. Create and implement sales driven incentives and deals for customers. Identify seasonal sales growth opportunities. Manage the labour costs effectively always ensuring high productivity. Manage all social media platforms and email communications. Manage all review platforms. Training & Staff Retention Train all new staff and constantly monitor the development of existing staff. Be able to spot training needs within the team and provide guidance and support where necessary, such as refresher training or development in unskilled areas. People Management Conduct regular check-ins with staff both informally and formally. Possess good people management skills and be able to handle issues as they arise. Compliance with Company Procedures & Policies Ensure the team is compliant with all company procedures and policies as outlined in the company handbook. Inform staff of new procedures and policies as they arise. Documentation & Meeting Deadlines Ensure the team meets deadlines and completes any documentation required on time, such as contracts, company handbook, training documents, etc. Prepare weekly rosters and monitor timekeeping. Monitor completion of all paperwork including cleaning rosters, supplier invoices, delivery dockets, and toilet checks. File paperwork reports including cash ups and temperature record charts. Oversee supplier orders and deliveries. Input/approve employee timecards on Bizimply. Input sales figures into Bizimply regularly. Prepare and submit weekly management reports including sales and waste.
