Job Title: General Manager - Hospitality Location: Dublin Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday) Position Overview: The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hospitality establishment, ensuring high standards of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, and maintaining the overall quality and reputation of the property. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee all day-to-day operations of the establishment, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance. Implement and enforce policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. Monitor and manage inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and cost control. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and development opportunities. Schedule staff shifts and manage labor costs in accordance with budgetary guidelines. Guest Relations: Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by addressing and resolving any complaints or issues promptly. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience and build long-term customer relationships. Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and reports. Monitor revenue and expenses, implementing cost-saving measures and maximizing profitability. Oversee billing, invoicing, and financial transactions. Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain guests. Collaborate with sales teams to drive bookings and increase occupancy rates. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety. Implement and oversee emergency procedures and protocols. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. (Preferred) Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry. Strong understanding of hospitality operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage services. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in financial management and budgeting. Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks. Strong problem-solving skills and a guest-focused mindset. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with occasional evenings or weekends as needed).
