Our client, a market leader in their industry are looking to hire a General Manager for the Dublin site. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business, with a strong emphasis on commercial success. You will play a critical role in shaping the company's strategic direction, managing a team of dedicated professionals. We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven general manager to direct and manage our business activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies. The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business functions, exceptional budgeting, and finance skills, and strong leadership qualities. The general manager should account for all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, improve revenue, enhance the organization's image, and meet overall growth objectives. Key Responsibilities: Streamline operational processes and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs. Implement best practices and monitor compliance. Lead the team of Operations, Distribution, Customer Service and Sales to ensure all KPIs are achieved. Develop, manage and control budgets, ensure that all site activities are in accordance with the agreed budgets. Ensure that all functions comply with Group and site HR and Health & Safety policies and procedures. Develop and implement strategies to achieve company goals and objectives. Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to continuously improve the working environment. Implement performance management via appraisals and development programmes. Be customer & commercially focused: push for improvements for existing customers, develop new business opportunities and grow the current client base. Effective recruitment and selection of new staff, ensuring all staff are properly trained and motivated to achieve the functional objectives. Encourage a culture of innovation, creativity and continuous improvement within the plant. Ensure Strategic goals are communicated out to wider team. Key Skills & Experience: Ideally degree level qualification in business administration or operations management or professional recognition in a relevant discipline. Extensive experience in people management. Displays strong commercial awareness Excellent people management skills. Strong and confident. Well organised and proactive.
