General Operative A number of roles are available for General Operatives on our sites in the Dublin area. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, and be willing and interested in learning within the construction industry and building a career in this sector. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all the trades within the construction industry. In time, the opportunity to progress into specialising in a preferred trade will come up to any candidate who is willing to work towards this goal. Duties: Report to the Site Foreman Assist skilled tradespeople on site with various duties, e.g brickies, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, finishing foremen, landscapers Assist finishing foreman in pre-snagging units at the completion stage Assist in marking out areas for foundations Assist in groundwork activities including laying pipes, cabling, manholes, inspection chambers Maintaining tidy roads, and houses. Erecting safety signs, construction hoarding Criteria: Must be a team player Keen interest in the construction industry and a desire to learn Attention to detail Good listening and communication skills Ability to problem solve Must be able to work on your own initiative Safe Pass & Manual Handling certs required This role is full-time.
