Job Description

Wilsons Auctions is the largest independently owned auction house in Ireland and the UK. We are currently looking for full-time General Operative to join our team in our Dublin branch The successful candidate will be based at the above site and duties will include the following: Liaising with the Plant & Machinery and Offsite departments regarding daily tasks Removing any company branding / de-stickering of vehicles Moving assets to their required locations in a safe but timely manner Cleaning and photographing assets Dealing with customer enquiries as and when required Responsible for ensuring that all assets are in the correct location pre-sale, and lot numbers and photos are correct Entering assets on to the auction manager system to monitor items entering and leaving the premises, checking pass outs and paid in full invoices Ensure allocated areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times including the building/work area Ensuring that only authorised personnel are admitted on site General maintenance of all equipment used in the direction of your duties Assisting the management team when required Ensuring that maintenance is carried out when required and the General Manager is informed of any issues Conforming to the company procedures, policies, and dress code Working in security when required Mainly working outside regardless of weather and walking distances up to 14 miles per day in the course of your duties, you should have the ability to multi-task whilst thinking on your feet and be comfortable with working under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will be ultimately responsible for ensuring that the assets for auction are detailed and presented correctly, sellers identified and that they are in the best possible condition pre-sale. This facilitates 4/5 Auctions per month Timed Online Auctions and a Plant Machinery Auction. Travelling is essential for this position. The ideal applicant should meet the following essential criteria: Well organised with an eye for detail Good level of IT literacy Hands on approach to work Be able to work as part of a team Be able to work within deadlines Flexible attitude to working hours Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am 6pm (1 hour lunch break) Overtime hours available and offsite work required as part of this role Skills: Microsoft Office Customer Service Photography
