General Operative role in a busy builders' providers yard, requiring a team player with experience in stock management, customer service, and forklift operation.
Part of Grafton Group Plc, Chadwicks Group is the market leader in the builder's merchanting industry in the Republic of Ireland.
Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, the General Operative will be responsible for the upkeep and organisation of the yard and warehouse area.
Key responsibilities include receiving and checking deliveries, ensuring stock is clearly identifiable and secure, and actively safeguarding against theft.

Job Description
The General Operative will be responsible for:
- Receiving and checking deliveries, highlighting any anomalies and ensuring secure, correct, and timely storage
- Ensuring the warehouse/store is kept tidy at all times, that stock is clearly identifiable, and low stock levels are highlighted to management
- Responsible for picking, packing, and loading of company vehicles
- Actively safeguarding against theft of goods or company property by being security conscious at all times
- Working and communicating as a team member to ensure the warehouse operates efficiently and effectively within company policy
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous General Operative experience
- Forklift license
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous experience in a busy builders' providers is an advantage
- Previous stock management experience is desirable

Contract Type

- 6-Month Fixed Term Contract
- Full time 39 hour contract
- Working week Monday to Friday, may be required to take part in Saturday's roster
