Job Description
Site operative required for busy engineering company, performing tasks such as site work, stock maintenance, order preparation, equipment transportation, and deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Work: Participate in site work activities associated with structural steel and mechanical engineering.
- Stock Management: Unload, sort, maintain, and load stock.
- Order Preparation: Get orders ready for customers.
- Transportation: Transport equipment and stock to site.
- Assisting Metal Fabricators: Assist metal fabricators in the workshop.
- Yard and Store Maintenance: Keep the yard and store tidy and organized.
Key Requirements:
- Driving Licence: Full clean driver's license with a good sense of direction.
- Technology Comfort: Comfortable with technology, including GPS, sat nav, coordinates, mobile phones, and WhatsApp.
- Manual Handling: Possess an up-to-date SafePass and manual handling certificate.
- Measuring Tape: Able to use a measuring tape and understand measurements in millimeters and meters.
- Independence: Must be able to work on own initiative.
- Filling Out Documents: Comfortable with filling out dockets and timesheets.
- Common Sense: Possess common sense and good geographical knowledge of Ireland.
- Engineering Interest: An interest or experience in engineering or steel work.
Desirable:
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in the field.
- Qualifications: Any other qualifications, certifications, or tickets.
Work Schedule:
On-site Monday to Friday (7:30am to 5pm)
