Applications are invited for a temporary part-time(0.68FTE) post of a General Practitioner in UCD Student Health Service within UCD Student Health. The role of General Practitioner (GP) is suited to a GP experienced in the day-to-day setting of a Health Centre. As part of the Student Health Service team, the GP must work within the scope of the service and be responsible for providing patient-centred, culturally appropriate, and individual holistic care to students. We aim to always provide the highest possible standard of clinical care. Students should feel that they have been treated in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner and that their medical needs have been addressed. The GP will demonstrate the ability to practise autonomously managing their own patient caseload while working closely with the Director of Student Health, doctors, nurses, and other Student Health Service team members to provide efficient, effective professional clinical services. The successful candidate will provide health leadership within the institution by contributing to innovative health, well-being and communications initiatives within the broader University. The candidate will be professional, resilient, confident, possessing humility and a high degree of empathy about delivering patient care. A strong communicator with a commitment to excellence and forward-thinking in terms of practical applications of the latest health concepts, assessments, and treatments. Candidates should be flexible, adaptable, and capable of working well under pressure and as part of a team.
