Seeking a General Ledger Accountant with 5 years experience in a multinational environment to prepare financial reports, reconcile accounts, and provide cost information to management.
Job Description
As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing monthly financial reports in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
- Preparing, analyzing, and posting journals at month end
- Preparing and analyzing balance sheet reconciliations at month end
- Calculating, posting, and analyzing monthly accruals and prepayments
- Reviewing and reconciling inter-company accounts
- Preparing multi-currency bank reconciliations
- Providing cost information to management and other departments
- Supporting the transition of functions to other locations
- Collaborating with external audit staff for periodic year end review procedures
Requirements:
- Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Third Level Degree or equivalent
- 2-5 years relevant experience in a multinational environment
- SAP/Oracle or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work alone to understand and summarise financial data
- Strong computer skills (MS Office)
- Fluency in a European language is an advantage
