Seeking a General Ledger Accountant with 5 years experience in a multinational environment to prepare financial reports, reconcile accounts, and provide cost information to management.

Job Description

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing monthly financial reports in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
  • Preparing, analyzing, and posting journals at month end
  • Preparing and analyzing balance sheet reconciliations at month end
  • Calculating, posting, and analyzing monthly accruals and prepayments
  • Reviewing and reconciling inter-company accounts
  • Preparing multi-currency bank reconciliations
  • Providing cost information to management and other departments
  • Supporting the transition of functions to other locations
  • Collaborating with external audit staff for periodic year end review procedures

Requirements:

  • Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Third Level Degree or equivalent
  • 2-5 years relevant experience in a multinational environment
  • SAP/Oracle or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work alone to understand and summarise financial data
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office)
  • Fluency in a European language is an advantage
