Job Description

Global Cyber Security Manager role seeks a seasoned professional to lead security initiatives and ensure the security of people, processes, and technology.

This role will be integral in ensuring security is at the heart of the IT operating model, leading various cyber security workstreams in both strategic and tactical initiatives.

The Carbery group is in the next phase of our digital transformation, and this role will be instrumental in that journey as we increase the adoption of digital solutions across the group while ensuring security is not compromised.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational readiness of Security systems and interaction with other departments to maintain operational abilities.
  • Develop and manage an effective stakeholder engagement plan.
  • Implementation, configuration, and management of all Network Security Infrastructure, Services and Solutions.
  • Development, definition, and maintenance of network standards, baselines, architecture, and documentation.
  • Development and maintenance of the Network Security strategic roadmap.
  • Engagement with vendors and IT teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve Network Security Infrastructure incidents and problems.
  • Research and analysis of emerging technologies, evaluation, and recommendation of initiatives that deliver next generation security capabilities and architectures.
  • Development and maintenance of relationships with Technical Vendors, 3rd Party Business Partners, and Service Providers.
  • Training, development, coaching, and mentoring of employees.
  • Management of projects and workstreams to expected quality, time, and budget.
  • Management of Managed Service Providers to ensure effective and efficient support services.
  • Documentation, diagrams, and knowledge base articles maintenance.
  • Preparation and presentation of incident metrics, security updates to Technology and Company leadership.
  • Management and conduct of risk assessments and system audits, SIEM operations, Vulnerability testing.
  • Compliance and transparency management.
  • Leadership of compliance initiatives.
  • Management of the departmental budget.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, IT/Management, or related fields.
  • 10+ years of information technology experience.
  • 5+ years' experience leading and managing technical operation teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of Network Security Technologies, Services and Solutions.
  • Proficiency or working knowledge of Cybersecurity frameworks and methodology.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Ability to lead in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyse data and produce management level reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • CISSP or in process of obtaining CISSP certification.
  • Strong negotiation skills and stakeholder management.
  • Financial literacy.
  • Proven ability to lead, engage, and influence up to and including board level.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision.
  • A team player with the ability to work effectively with a number of different functions.
