Job Title: Global Cyber Security ManagerLocation: Ballineen, Co. Cork (hybrid)Job SummaryAt the Carbery group we are committed to ensuring security of our people, processes and technology continues to be our top priority.Working closely with the IT leadership team this role will be integral in ensuring security is at the heart of the IT operating model. The role will be required to lead various cyber security workstreams in both strategic and tactical initiatives.Spanning 12 locations worldwide and with over 1,000 employees the Carbery group is in the next phase of our digital transformation and this role will be instrumental in that journey as we increase the adoption of digital solutions across the group while ensuring security is not compromised.Responsibilities:Will be responsible for the operational readiness of Security systems and interact with other departments to maintain operational abilities.Develop and manage an effective stakeholder engagement plan.Partnering with regional IT leadership oversee the successful implementation, configuration, and management of all Network Security Infrastructure, Services and Solutions, including Firewalls, Web Proxies, VPN and IDS devices to ensure system security, reliability, performance, fault tolerance and high availability.Partner with technology teams to develop, define and maintain network standards, baselines, architecture and documentation. Maintain detailed designs, configuration templates, network diagrams and infrastructure requirements.Develop, maintain and drive the Network Security strategic roadmap based on business needs and company objectivesEngage vendors and IT teams to identify, diagnose and resolve all Network Security Infrastructure incidents and problems.Research and analyse emerging technologies. Evaluate, and recommend initiatives that deliver next generation security capabilities and architectures.Develop and maintain relationships with Technical Vendors, 3rd Party Business Partners and Service Providers. Ensure service providers perform to contractual SLAs and service obligations.Provide training, development, coaching, and mentoring to employees, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.Ensure successful delivery of projects and workstreams are to expected quality, time and budget in line with the overall plan and adherence to the agreed governance frameworkManage and collaborate with Managed Service Providers to ensure they are delivering effective and efficient support services based on contract terms. Review and leverage vendor maintenance and support agreements to ensure support, response, and escalation.Ensure documentation, diagrams, and knowledge base articles stay current as it relates to configuration, processes, service records, topologies, and support contacts.Prepare and present incident metrics, security updates to other Technology and Company leadership up to board level.Manage and conduct risk assessments and system audits, SIEM operations, Vulnerability testing.Working with our various audit committees internally and externally ensure compliance and transparency at all times.Lead all compliance initiatives keeping abreast of the latest guidelines.Manage the departmental budget with a focus on delivering value for money whilst ensuring standards are adhered to.Essential RequirementsA Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, IT/Management, or related fields are highly desired but not essential.10+ years of information technology experience.5+ years' experience leading and managing technical operation teams.In depth knowledge of Network Security Technologies, Services and Solutions to include Next Generation Firewalls, Network Access Control, Remote Access, SDN Infrastructure, Load Balancing / Application Delivery, Virtual Private Networks, IDS /IPS, and Web Application Firewall.Proficiency or working knowledge of Cybersecurity frameworks and methodology such as NIST, ISO, etc...Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.Ability to lead in a team-oriented environment that is multinational and cross organizational with a managed service component.Strong organisational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen.Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques.Ability to analyse data and produce management level reports to enable quick and accurate decision making.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical audiences, across all levels of the organization.CISSP or in process of obtaining CISSP certification highly preferred.Strong negotiation skills and stakeholder managementFinancial literacy (budgeting, reporting, interpretation).Proven ability to lead, engage, and influence up to and including board levelSelf-motivated and able to work with little direct supervisionA team player with the ability to work effectively with a number of different functions, and with colleagues in different countries.Position may require travel and after hour's work to respond to unusual situations and to complete task deadlines.Our Commitment to our PeopleAt Carbery, we aim to be a best-in-class employer for our diverse, multi-cultural, multi-generational workforce.
