Job Description
Pepsi Co is seeking a Global Design Engineering Lead to join its global engineering function based in Cork, Ireland.
The successful candidate will lead the design aspect of the global strategic capital plan for Pepsi Co, focusing on delivering capacity, BCP (Business Continuity Plan), and infrastructure for the concentrate business.
The role will involve providing leadership in the design of engineering solutions required at the plants to ensure consistent design methodologies, introduction of new technologies, and sharing and implementation of new technologies across the PGCS plants.
The key deliverables include:
- Leading the design aspect of the Strategic Capital Programs required to deliver capacity and business continuity planning (BCP) for the PCGS business.
- Developing and delivering 'new technology' and innovative solutions to 'future proof' and modernise the PGCS concentrate business.
- Developing and leveraging best practices from Pepsi Co divisions as well as from other industries to deliver world-class performance in plant and equipment design.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience delivering the design aspect of large/complex capital projects in a global and diverse environment.
- Extensive experience in utilities engineering and a track record of influencing a complex matrix of stakeholders to deliver a design to the highest standard.
- Significant technical knowledge of water treatment, steam, compressed air & electrical engineering.
The successful candidate will have a degree qualification in Chemical or Process engineering or equivalent, and extensive experience in the following areas:
- Process plant technical standards.
- Project concept development.
- Business case and capital approval.
- Design, Procurement and Installation.
- Construction, Commissioning and Validation.
- Environmental, health and safety management.
