Global Sourcing & Supply Manager
Develop and implement strategic sourcing and planning, long-term deal structuring, and negotiation for Apple's product teams and suppliers.
About the Role
- Develop a nuanced understanding of the commodity landscape to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competition influence.
- Identify changes in buyer and supplier power and use industry dynamics to Apple's advantage.
- Manage positive, effective relationships with suppliers to secure best-in-class terms for sourcing.
- Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality to strike agreements that meet Apple's performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.
Responsibilities
- Perform supplier financial research, spend analysis, and ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic procurement deals.
- Collaborate across the Apple organization to ensure business objectives are met.
- Optimize supply chain performance through cost and capacity scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of manufacturing costs and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence Apple's future product roadmap and sourcing decisions.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree
- Minimum 8 years experience in freight forwarding operational background, with a detailed knowledge of air and ocean international logistics
- Outstanding analytical and operational/mediation skills
- Strong Excel and Keynote/Power Point skills
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%
