Global Sourcing & Supply Manager
Develop and implement strategic sourcing and planning, long-term deal structuring, and negotiation for Apple's product teams and suppliers.
About the Role
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, finance, and legal teams to drive centralised capacity planning for all components used across Apple products.
- Develop a nuanced understanding of the commodity landscape to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competition influence.
- Manage positive, effective relationships with suppliers to secure best-in-class terms for sourcing.
- Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality to strike agreements that meet Apple's performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.
Responsibilities
- Perform supplier financial research, spend analysis, and ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic procurement deals.
- Optimize supply chain performance through cost and capacity scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of manufacturing costs and market intelligence to influence Apple's future product roadmap and sourcing decisions.
- Provide overall program management support and contribute to ongoing development of processes, templates, critical issue procedures, and reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years experience in freight forwarding operational background, with a detailed knowledge of Air and Ocean International logistics.
- Strong analytical and operational/mediation skills.
- Strong Excel, and Keynote/Power Point skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.
