Job Description
Job Summary: Lead the development, implementation, and delivery of enterprise data centers strategies through collocation facilities and AWS infrastructure builds, meeting strict quality and performance levels globally. Lead engineering due diligence for new and expanding regions, maintaining high performance standards and reducing budgets and increasing efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering due diligence efforts for new and expanding regions, maintaining high performance standards and utilizing innovation to reduce budgets and increase efficiency.
- Work with product teams on infrastructure roll-out plans in support of new AWS products.
- Perform PUE analysis and cooling solution analysis.
- Review colocation assessments for new regions and manage/review site test-fits and site plans.
- Provide engineering design decisions to the planning team for strategic planning and region selection.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to assess how products can be deployed in a region.
- Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions and communicate clearly and effectively with people from various technical backgrounds.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or relevant discipline.
- 7+ years of experience with industrial/commercial design or experience directly related to data center infrastructure and data center planning.
- In-depth understanding of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Licensed Architect or relevant discipline.
- Familiar with Substation design, HV/MV distribution systems, and understanding of international code requirements.
- Leadership and problem-solving skills, communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain high quality standards.
