THE ROLE The Global Supply Systems & Process Leader (Director) is a new role with the aim to establish a new centralized support function to the Global Supply Planning and Manufacturing Planning teams. The role holder will report directly to the Global Supply Planning Leader and be a member of the Global Supply Planning leadership team. As an experienced, visionary and global leader you will be responsible for building the new Global Systems & Operations function supporting a significant global spend base of approximately 7 bUSD across several platforms - Biologics, Pharma, API, APAC and Diagnostics The role holder will be a key transformation partner to the Platform Supply Leaders and Site Planning Team in transforming our current organization into a truly global and data driven high performing team using standardized systems and process to deliver on our goals and objectives POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include: Lead the system, process and skills needs assessment across the supply planning organization in order to deliver the GMS & COE Objectives. Own the development of the Skill Matrices for Global Supply and Site Planning Roles. Lead the implementation of standard skill matrices across the supply planning community and act as the lead 'Train the Trainer' to flow knowledge through the organization development and deployment. Drive global standardizations & optimizations including Supporting IBP & S4 Implementation & Ramp up across Global Supply Planning & Manufacturing sites. Lead the assessment of current planning practices across key sites and align bench mark standards and practices to be rolled out across platforms Assess work that has to be executed 'Outside the system,' and lead process improvement work to resolve and/or optimize in order to drive efficiencies and improve best practices. Partner with Opex organization to quantify improvements and capture benefits as CIPs and productivity improvements in the respective areas. Optimizations will come from supporting the organization on preparing and executing yearly processes e.g. market SLEAs, Budget process, Master data and parameters reviews. Strong collaboration with the Inventory Optimization team, Op Ex Teams and Manufacturing Plants to define the improvements required to increase agility and reduce Inventory including shortening planning time fence, implementing multi level safety stock and max stock strategies, reducing cycle time and optimizing MOQs. Support Data Driven decisions & risk monitoring (OOS & Excess) for Key Brands by developing E2E Visualization of Stock Levels versus target. Develop and implement robust KPI tracking and a culture of 'Run To Target' within Global Supply planning by developing scorecards at group, platform & individual level. Play a key role in partnering with relevant stakeholders to improve SnOE, Site and Platform Level SnOP. Lead key improvement projects ROLE COMPETENCIES The ideal candidate for the role will be a experience Supply Chain Professional who has experience leading system improvements, demonstrated operational excellence and a strong business mindset. An individual with strong collaboration skills is key as this role with partner across multiple functions including manufacturing sites, finance, external supply, quality and other relevant stakeholders. You are an entrepreneur and constantly look for ways of simplifying and optimizing the way we work by utilizing data, systems and digital tools Level of Education and Qualifications: +10 years of experience ideally from the FMCG, automotive industry or pharmaceutical industry Bachelors/Masters and/or MBA degree e.g. within a relevant field Technical Requirements: Knowledge of SAP Power BI Experience with GenAI, CHATGPT is beneficial Master user of the Microsoft Office package like Excel, PowerPoint etc PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS Based at GMS & International headquarters in Dublin, Ireland Travel as required to fulfill responsibilities of the role (typically up to 20%) Full time Legal statement as below This job advert indicates the general nature and level of work expected.
