Job Description
Scientist position available in Gene Therapy team at Eurofins Biopharma Product Testing, a leading contract lab providing testing and research services worldwide.
As a Scientist, you will carry out scientific test procedures on client samples, produce accurate results, and develop ancillary procedures associated with methods and technical systems used. You will also support complex analytical testing and high knowledge projects, and participate in client and regulatory audits.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and validating new tests and procedures for company and clients, including protocol and report writing
- Technical review of protocols and reports
- Completion of specific technological projects and writing up the results of these projects accurately, confidentially, and on time for the clients
- Data and documentation review as assigned by management
- Participate in client and regulatory audits, support management by demonstrating our systems and processes to auditors
- Deputising for management as required
- Direct communication with clients in an appropriate manner
- Be technical representative on assigned client projects, participate in the project management, project updates, client meeting and business reviews as required
- Review of test methods for quotation purposes
- Identify any opportunities for improvement of quality and service and work with the team to implement continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Degree in Molecular Cell Biology or Immunology
- Experience in q PCR, SDS-Page, cell and molecular biology and western blotting
- Specific experience in infectivity and potency cell based assays and work with viral vectors
- Experience in method validation desirable
- 5 years' experience in a regulated laboratory environment or a Masters plus 3 years' experience
- Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skills
- Passionate about quality and customer service
- Good communication skills both internally and externally
