Our Deloitte Government & Public Services (G&PS) team provides the full breadth of consulting and advisory services to support public sector bodies reimagine, innovate and transform their organisations through modernisation. Our specialist consulting team works side-by-side with Government Departments and agencies to drive strategic transformation to make an impact that matters for citizens and Government workers. Our team is now expanding to support the needs of our clients with some of the most complex issues facing society and we are looking for experienced Consultants to join our growing team. You will learn from a group of experienced leaders and industry experts from a diverse range of backgrounds. About the role: Project Delivery: Develop work plans for engagements, across one or multiple work streams, and produce superior quality deliverables against tight deadlines. Provide comprehensive project and change management capabilities and manage a complex variety of stakeholders Problem Solving: Use your personal insight and experience to help solve complex client issues Analysis & Insight: Perform analysis to determine client needs/recommendations utilising a combination of experience, industry knowledge, tools, and technology. Demonstrate the ability to conduct data analysis and apply strategic thinking to support opportunities for improvement Presentation & communication: Define a clear point of view to provide direction and lead on presenting insights and defining a logical flow to tell a story when presenting deliverables Leadership & development: Be accountable for the delivery of high-quality client ready deliverables, and own the day-to-day client relationship, where appropriate Team management: Coach and support junior team members to deliver client facing workstreams or small engagements, providing them with day-to-day direction and support Relationship management: Engage senior clients confidently and professionally, manage daily client interactions and expectations, and proactively input on risks, acting as a trusted member of the team Business development: Build a clear understanding of client needs, use your awareness of best practice solutions, and proactively support the development of proposals About you: Previous consulting experience, gained in a consulting, or in-house environment, delivering change or transformation projects, leveraging solutions in one or more of the following areas: Strategy design and alignment for Government Departments Service design Operating model design & delivery (As Is - To Be Design) Organisational transformation Project, programme and change management Data analytics, insight and reporting Operational excellence using Lean six sigma, RPA and/or AI Digital transformations including strategy, planning and/or implementation Ability to undertake issue-led problem solving, comfort with ambiguity, adaptable and a quick learner able to think creatively to solve client issues Ability to distil complex ideas into simple concepts and clearly and concisely deliver key messages Understanding of government/public sector policy, structure and culture Experience and knowledge of working with government and public sector partners, preferably any of the following: government, justice, health, social care, transport, infrastructure, education Relevant 3rd level qualification(s) Professional qualifications in Programme or Project Management are preferred but not essential If you believe that you meet most of the criteria above, we encourage you to apply.
