Job Description
Beacon Hospital seeks a General Practitioner to provide quality patient care in a premium health screening programme for executives and individuals.
As a key member of the Health Check team, you will work autonomously to provide specialist skilled assessment, diagnosis, advice, and management to clients. You will also communicate with GPs, relevant consultants, and departments to provide follow-up and specialist care for further management of conditions diagnosed during Health Check.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing patient-centred care that addresses health needs and promotes wellness, based on evidence-based guidelines and meeting legislator requirements
- Working collaboratively with Executive Management, Clinical Operations, and Marketing to promote the service
- Developing and implementing education and information pertinent to lifestyle changes based on evidence-based practice
- Maintaining professional knowledge and standards through continuing medical education and personal and professional development
- Participating in Hospital Quality Improvement and Risk Management Initiatives, including audits related to Health Check and JCI accreditation
Requirements:
- MRCPI, MICGP, or equivalent qualification
- Irish Medical Council Registration Certificate
- Membership of relevant college is desirable
- At least two years' experience as a General Practitioner
Personal competencies include strong interpersonal skills, BLS, presentation skills, and the ability to promote the service. The post holder will be required to demonstrate flexibility as and when required by their manager or hospital management.
