The Teaching and Learning Unit is currently recruiting for a Grade VII role to support the development and implementation of its staff development programmes which have been funded through the Technological Sector Advancement Fund in pursuit of the objectives of MTUs project plan. The successful applicant will work closely with a range of stakeholders including the TLU, the HR offices and those involved in the Technological Sector Advancement Fund project which funds this role to manage this emergent activity. MainDuties&Responsibilities willinclude: Engagement with the project lead in the planning, design and delivery of staff development supports in line with the goals of this project with particular emphasis on the development of individual and team training plans. Direct the development and implement an agreed programme of interventions to enhance staff development within the university guided by best practice learning and development thought and actions. Develop a framework to support Learning and Development across the University ensuring that the universitys practices reflect a state-of-the-art approach. Workwithothersin the universitywhoseroleis to aidCPDactivitiesand frameworks. ThiswillincludeawiderangeofstakeholdersincludingHRandTeachingandLearning specialists. ConductanappreciativeinquiryprocesstoshapeaCPDframeworkthatreflectsMTUs needs and translate this to an appropriate action set. Designand/ordeliverappropriateworkshopsandtrainingeventsasrequired. Lead on reporting requirements, providing narrative and data driven monitoring and evaluation reviews as required by various audiences and stakeholders. Developandimplementcoachingandmentoringsupportstoassistwiththegoalsofthis specificproject,inconjunctionwithexistingactivities,whilecontributingtoacoaching culture across those that interact with staff CPD. Model best practice in terms of communication and collaboration with respect to in- house staff development, particularly with any direct reports and key stakeholders. Efficiently manage any resources and budgets associated with this project and identify any additional resources that may benefit implementation of staff development initiatives. Lead and supervise other administrators who work with the team this may include other full-time appointments to the team and secondments from other university departments. Liaisewithexternalfacilitatorsandconsultants. Contribute to the ongoing development of initiatives aligned with staff development across MTU while engaging with home teams. Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhaveminimumacademicqualificationsandexperienceas follows: Essential: Have obtained at least Grade D3 in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate; Examination(higher,ordinary,appliedorvocationalprogrammes)orequivalentor have passed an examination at the appropriate level within the QQI qualifications framework which can be assessed as being of a comparable to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent or higher or have appropriate relevant experience which encompasses equivalent skills and expertise; Desirable: Arelevantthirdlevelqualificationorhaveappropriaterelevantexperiencewhich encompasses equivalent skills and expertise. Professionalqualificationsrelating tomentoringand coaching. Previousexperienceoftraininganddevelopmentincomplexenvironmentsfromeither a delivery or design perspective. Experienceofadministration,stakeholderengagementandprojectmanagementina complex environment.
